The THEME
this year is
'Israel and Me'

The story can be real or imagined. Here are some ideas:
- Israel is important to me because…
- An adventure in Israel
- The holiday or Jewish festival I'd like to experience in Israel
- My favourite story from Torah about Israel
- Time travel back in history or into the future in Israel.

All submissions will be printed. Depending on the number of young authors attending, there will be a draw to select those authors who will read aloud and for book prizes. Only those who arrive on time and sign in will be eligible for the draw.

Things Are Looking
Up, Jack

All is not right in the land of Mother Goose. People and things keep falling down and it is not merely coincidental. There is trouble afoot. It is up to King Jack and his sister Princess Jill to get to the bottom of this mystery.

Guest Author and Emcee
Vancouver author, Dan Bar-el, will read a brief excerpt from his newly released book, Things Are Looking Up, Jack.

Dan lives, writes, and works in Vancouver, British Columbia. He was a childcare worker up until recently when he began working as a preschool teacher
at UBC.
