The music is from the original hilarious and poignant musical comedy which tells the story of four 50ish women who come together to stage a review for their 35th high school reunion. What unfolds is a rollicking and riveting
explosion of music, revelations and
gut-splitting humour about "the change."
Joane Humphrey, known professionally as J.J. McColl, was a CBC producer, writer, actor and television-show co-host who
conceived and produced Menopositive! The Musical, the Canadian show that played all through Canada and made it to Broadway - all without ever learning a note of music. She was born Dec. 24, 1936, in Vancouver. She died Sept. 23, 2008, she was 71.
